Small polychrome porcelain jar ‘Phoenix’, marked Tianqi

Porcelain modelled and decorated in wucai enamels. The body features a continuous decoration of stylised phoenixes in flight among multicoloured clouds. Below the neck, a decorative band with stylised flowers and sinuous stems runs around the perimeter. At the base is the character ‘天’ in blue underglaze.
