Solifou Lindou "Deido Plage", 2006

Mixed media on a metal base, in the style of a collage, mounted on a panel and framed with a bicycle tire. In the upper left half of the piece, capitalized words such as “DEIDO” and fragments that appear to spell out “ROND P.” are integrated. These texts provide a geographical context for the abstraction of the scene, linking it directly to the city’s posters and popular graphics.  The composition balances vibrant areas of bright yellow and lime green with sections dominated by deep blue, ochre, and rust brown, recreating the contrasts of tropical light on materials exposed to the elements. Signed on the front right and includes a technical sheet with relevant information about the work on the reverse.
