Spanish School 18th century “ Holy Family”

Oil on canvas. A painting depicting the “Holy Family,” with Saint Anne at the center holding the Virgin Mary; in the upper part of the canvas, emerging from a halo of light diffused by clouds, the heads of several cherubs or child angels can be seen gazing down at the scene below. Crowning the central axis, one can make out the figure of a dove with outstretched wings, an unmistakable symbol of the Holy Spirit.
