Description.

Gouache on MDF board. A portrait of a man in profile in the Orientalist style. It is harmonious, organic, and warm. Earthy tones—ochres, earth tones, bluish grays, and sienna—predominate, shaping the shadows on the face, broken only by a touch of red at the top of the head that visually balances the composition.  The light falls from the left side, illuminating the profile of the face, while the rest of the features and the neck are rendered through subtle gradations of gray and brown to create volume and depth. Signed and dated in the lower right corner.
