Agate Dzi bead, Liao dynasty

Elongated Dzi-type bead (གཟི།), carved from agate. It features a colour combination of cream, bluish grey, black and honey tones arranged in natural concentric bands. It has a spindle shape with a longitudinal perforation for use as a pendant. Liao Dynasty (907–1125) or later.
