Description.

Rectangular box in lacquered and carved wood with overlapping layers of red and black, decorated with intertwined scrollwork and geometric motifs in relief. It retains its metal fittings on the front and a clasp on the lid. The base bears an apocryphal seal reading ‘大清乾隆御制’.
